Best GTX 970?

Go to solution Solved by DudeWazap,

The Asus GTX 970 Strix doesnt power it's fans on when you are running games that don't require alot of GPU power. And even when they are turned on, on high end games they are not that loud at all. The ACX cooler from EVGA is also very good. And your CPU and PSU is fine.

Which is the best GTX 970? Right now I'm looking at the EVGA ACX SC, but I would like it to be as quiet as possible. And will my CPU handle it? And will a 500W PSU be enough for 970 + CPU OC? Specs in sig.

CPU/PSU are fine.

Strix is the most quiet so long as you don't have coil whine. MSI also has no spinning fans.

The MSI Gaming G4 is the best card in the GTX 970 lineup. Its quieter than the strix and also has the 0-fan mode. It overclocks better than the asus too apparently

Oh btw: your cpu is massively underpowered for a 970... its almost a waste to get that card unless you plan on upgrading your cpu in the near future....
