I'm buying my parts on Thursday (woot woot! first build!) and I'm using the 330R. I watched the review on HardwareCanucks and he said something about a middle post stand off. Does that mean I have to install the other stand offs (5?) then place it in? Or does he mean by preinstalled standoffs and you only screw in the 6 screws after placing the mobo in?

Also an additional question. Really convenient how the PSU and case are in 1 forum. But I might be using an anti-static wristband or I maybe not. And I was wondering what to do. From my research I heard you have to connect your PSU  into your case and plug it in to a socket but with the PSU off? I also saw that there is this little metal stick sticking out (referring to EasyPCBuilder's "How to build a PC in 30 minutes") Is that normally preinstalled in the PSU or do I have to do something? Yeah I know anti-static wristbands are almost useless to the modern building but might as well be safe than sorry.

Cheers <3

The post in the middle bacially helps you position your motherboard. you might have to install the other standoffs (a pretty easy process) before you put the MOBO in.

THe part about the PSU is nearly correct. you dont have to install it in the case, but you do need the PSU pluged in (and turned off)  into a grounded (3 prong) outlet with an antistatic wristband clipped on the PSU

yup, then just touch the case every few minutes (or right before touching a sensitive component like motherboard of graphics card) and you don't need any antistatic stuff.

The middle post is preinstalled and you need to manually install the other standoffs.

Just attach the anti static wristband to the case and/or not dance on carpet with socks on.

Antistatic band is useful but not really needed (check the thread on it). Just ground yourself on the faucet or something metal.

So do I screw it on the case? Or screw it onto the motherboard? That's essentially what I'm asking

Screw the stand-offs into the case first, then line up the holes on the mobo with the standoffs and screw it into place

Standoffs go into the motherboard tray. The motherboard goes on top of the standoffs. The screws go into the standoffs to hold the motherboard down onto the tray. The standoffs are used to separate the board from touching the motherboard tray.
