Don't clone it you may encounter nasty problems.Is better to do a clean install

Is that true? I just got a good deal black friday and  im upgrading my work laptop. All my files are backed up but I rather just clone and start where I left off.

Do not clone a HDD to an SSD, or you will regret it in the future.

Always do a clean install.

 

If you clone it may be faster now, but when you start getting BSODs, system hangs, and corrupted files you will end up having to do a reinstall anyway.

Do i need it to say it the second time?:D Yes is true and all kind of problems can come up from bad ssd speeds to driver problems and so on

IDK what you've been doing, but cloning a system drive is easy peasy. Ive done it on multiple machines, both laptops and desktops and i've had ZERO issues. i use a program called Ease-US partition master. OP, i'd highly reccomend cloning.

What SSD do you have? If from Samsung, use their software. HD Clone worked for me. I cloned twice and everything went fine.

ive done SSD to SSD, SSD to HDD, and HDD to SSD. all have worked flawlessly

Yea thats what I'm planning to do.The SSD system has an 830 to EVO 840

 

Then use the samsung Software. It is amazing and really easy.

Project black out: cpu: athlon x4 750k @4.7ghz, Mobo: asrock fm2+ a55 vg3+, ram: 1x 8gb hyperx 1866mhz, video card: 1x saphire radeon r9 270x, Storage: 1tb hdd ssd in the future,  cooling: 2 noctua 120mm fans 1 on rad one front intake.

Maybe but i'd rather do a clean install and make sure everything is as it should be :D
