please answer these questions?

1) How reliable are AIO liquid coolers?

2) how long do they last until they fail?

3) are they easy to maintain/fix?

4) have you guys had any problems with AIO liquid cooling units in the past?

5) is it worth upgrading to one when it am running a 5820K with a NH-D14 at gets to 60 degrees under stress testing at stock and will only be doing a 4Ghz overclock?

1) very reliable

2) It can vary, but its not uncommon for them to last the life of a computer

3) You don't have to do anything to them, so yes. If they fail then you RMA it (if it's under warranty), if it's not then its not worth fixing.

4) no

5) No, a high end AIO isn't significantly better than an NH-D14

The only reason to gen an AIO over a cpu cooler like the d14 is for looks, and sometimes clearence. They will perform around the same but an AIO looks cleaner and doesn't have ugly brown fans.

i like the look of my d14 and i wont be adding ram anytime soon as i am just gaming.

But why are some (like the h100i) so loud?

The following reasons: noctua fans are arguably the quietest best performing fans, there is more space between thee fins on the d14 than on AIOs, AIOs need to have a pump which adds more noise, and the fans on corsair AIOs are very loud.
