The blue snowball and samson meteor mic are good for around $50. If you can go up to $100, the ble yeti and audio-technica at20-20 are amazing microphones.

I really loved my Samson Meteor for the time I had it. The sound quality was good for the price, but it didn't have very many features other than recording, and a mute button on the microphone itself.

Although you will want to get a standalone microphone stand if you don't want every single click and bump to be picked up by the microphone. The stand the Meteor has (well, it's built in really) does a very poor job at suppressing the sounds you make when you hit your desk or type on your keyboard. Even if you don't have a mechanical keyboard the microphone will still pick up every press if you leave the microphone on your desk.

This is the set-up I had for my Meteor, just pretend that the Blue Yeti is the Samson Meteor instead.

The boom floor-stand cost like $12, and the pop filter was cheap too if I remember.

edit;

Here's a comparison between the size of the Blue Yeti and the Samson Meteor.

The Samson Meteor is about 65 euros (50 pounds = about 65 eu right? )

So if you can save some money I would personally go for the Blue Yeti (110 EU) or Audio-Technica AT2020 (90 EU)
