So i have a relatively small desk and i need the space, But mainly i need to fix a serious problem, My Desktop Mic, There is odd noises being sent into it and it's the vibration of the Case being on my desk and if it was on the ground it would not happen, So i am asking if there is ANY threat to my Computer if it is always sitting on the Carpet next to my desk, I hope someone or more people can help and i thank you in advance.

So long as none of the intakes are clogged, its fine. (Just make sure theres a gap between the carpet and the bottom of the case If your psu pulls air in from the bottom of your case)

No problem. Only thing is that if you have a bottom intake its not going to work as well

If you have a bottom-mounted PSU, make sure that it's elevated at least an inch and has a dust filter.

Otherwise you should be fine.

Sig under construction.

If you have a bottom mounted power supply, I would prop it up higher, if it has a dust filter. If it doesn't have a dust filter, I would flip it to suck air from inside the case.

EDIT: My rig is on the carpet, and it's find, since I have it propped up. And I have my intakes/PSU with dust filters.

If you have a bottom-mounted power supply with the fan facing downward (intaking through the bottom of the case), I would probably turn it around so the fan is facing upward. Other than that, there shouldn't be any issues.

Edit: Apparently I type slow and got ninja'd by a ton of people..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Yeah. I've never seen power supplies mounted like that.

Yeah. I've never seen power supplies mounted like that.

I recently put mine like that to try it out, it looks pretty cool and apparently makes almost no temperature difference (assuming you have good air flow in your case, which I do).

Yeah. I've never seen power supplies mounted like that.

Thats how PSUs all used to be mounted, plus you can mount a psu any way you want (assuming you don't have something lik an H44/Enthoo pro which doesn't allow the fan to be rightside up)
