Hello Everyone, and thank you for your time.

I have a laptop, a Lenovo G510 with a horrible HDD. I took it out, and am planning on replacing it with my intel SSD from a desktop I will not be able to use for a week. Sorry for the newbie question, but will there be any problems? This SSD is my main SSD from my desktop that I boot Windows off of.

The main question I have is, will it wipe the SSD or anything funny like that?

Thanks again!

Hmm, replaced the hard drive with my SSD, and it said "Default Boot Device Missing". Is it just not possible to replace the hard drive with a lenovo G510? Thanks again for your help.

Got to the bios and you will see a boot setting there, change it and youll be fine.

Thanks for this help, but this Intel 730 series SSD is just too fast! However, after missing it a few times, I noticed that the error was now different. "EFI Network 0 for IPv4 (20-1A-06-3C-2B-8C) boot failed." Should I be scared, or is this the same thing?
