So i built my first PC yesterday and the GPU is a sapphire 280 and cpu is a i5 4690k i would like to start mining while im just browsing the web, can you pause and play mining as and when you want to so at night you can turn it off? and what would be the best coin to mine that will make me some sort of profit?

Thanks

As you have not even started (judging by your post)

Stop now if your thinking Bitcoins and some alternatives.

There is ZERO need to use a GPU for Mining for those 'bigger types', no1 else is.

Miner machines have changed a great deal, now little tiny box's that don't require a lot of power can do way more calculations than your GPU can, or even a bunch.

UNFEASIBLE TO DO THIS NOW for a lot of different types of COINS. THERE IS NO PROFIT!!!!!!

Google why.

But other coins...slight chance their popular without mining machines ruining it.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Mining will no longer make you any money. The asic miners are much better for mining but even those are dying out. The only good mining thing is Fold at home but they dont make any money.
