New Computer for friend that can run Arma 3

Hi guys

Putting a LOW budget build list together for my friend who wants to build a computer by Christmass.

(Around $800-$1000) NZD

It needs to be able to run Arma 3... Maybe a SMALL amount of video editing.

Thanks for the input guys

http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/DZMgpg add a cpu cooler for over clocking.

Hey, great list!

This computer is for Arma and there for is very cpu intensive! Can you recommend any good I5's / AMD's?

My friend has no preference either way, he just wants it to run Arma 3 really well.

but will run arma 3 like a dream.

That is a lot more than $1000NZD. Change the Country in Pcpartpicker to New Zealand.

Removed CPU Cooler.

Still doesn't help  :D  Some of the components in your spec don't even have a price against them when you change it to New Zealand.

I think an i5 based build is going to be over budget whatever you tweak due to the cost of parts in NZ.

Sorry there are no magical super cheap i5 or amd hexa core wonder cpu for your asking price in new zealand as stuff in new zealand is even more expensive than canada. But you can go over 5 ghz with this cpu and a good cooler there is a reason I chose a Z97 board.
