Hi Guys i have a lot of old cd-Rom games and i like to have them at one place so if i pust it on my ExternalHarddrive well it Work does it make the any slowwer  my external drive i a 1 TB USB 2.0

It should not be that bad, Linus has an external hard drive that he uses with his test bench for bench marking I believe it is a  seagate go flex drive. Considering that you are using cd-Rom games, there should not be any issues.

The speeds aren't going to be much slower, though loading times won't quite as quick as other solutions.

Yeah im using a cheapo 3TB external hard drive for most of my steam library...

 

yeah the load times are slow, but it's pretty convenient and cheap :)

a usb 3.0 or Esata exturnal would cut the load times significantly if you are willing to upgrade

If they are old, are load times going to be an issue?

 

Also, you might want to consider a digital medium like Steam. It could be better.
