I want to run 2 monitors on my 270X. One for my game, and the other above to have Skype, Mumble, OBS, etc. Will this create much lag? 1080p on 1 monitor, 1080 on the other?

In my opinoin it should work just fine.

You can do it just fine. 'Tis what i do with my R9 270X.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

Yup you sure can, and it shouldn't create much lag at all unless you're watching a video or something on the other monitor while playing a game.

Even then, it should be fine.

Videos and such don't take much power to run. More graphically intensive things like another game might be an issue though.

Whenever I watched streams/videos using two monitors & gaming with my 270 it caused a significant decrease in FPS, which is why I switched over to my integrated graphics for my second monitor.

I noticed zero performance hits with a video at 720p on my secondary monitor well running a game at the same time on my little HD7770... Before with my i5 650, the CPU was so weak it couldn't keep up with my GPU... GG

Maybe it was some other sort of issue with me then, because I was going from like 60 to 45 fps whenever I was watching a 1080p video & gaming.

Weird. I'm going to assume it isn't a VRAM issue since I'm about 93.7% sure that a 1GB R9 270 doesn't exist.

That might be due to the game not being of high priority whenever you click away from it--it may also be from a game being in fullscreen,

Nah, I'm not gonna do that :D It's just such an annoyance whenever someone is added to the skype call, BLOPS 2 minimizes :(

That's because the game is in fullscreen. Play using windowed or borderless instead.

I use 'Windowed Borderless Gaming': http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WindowedBorderlessGaming/discussions/0/846966336037436101/

I've got a 760k, OC'd to 4.2 Ghz, will this become a bottleneck?

Shouldn't be an issue.

I had a feeling. Be kind of odd to see a 1GB GPU with that much power.
