Underclocking GPU

How do you underclock a gpu in msi afterburner? Do you just lower the core mhz.

And will unerclocking result in: 

Less performance?

Less heat output?

Less coil whine?

Yes you just turn down the clockspeed, that's it.

 

and about those other questions: Yes, Yes and maybe.

I'm just not sure about coil whine, but it will probably be better.

Coil whine is an undecided factor. If lowering the clocks brings you closer to the resonance frequency it will just get worse.
