Hi,

I just want to know if everything's compatible and if you have some last minute tips and if you know where I could order from in Canada. I was thinking ncix and memory express. I'm gonna order ddr3 2133 memory later on. I'm not sure what I'll get yet but I want to profit from the Black Friday's deals so ordering anyway. I also need help to choose one 120mm fans and one 140mm fan.

Ok thanks. Where do you order from usually?

Your build looks good and is all compatible. Depending on your state, if you order from Newegg you do NOT have to pay taxes. This can be a big plus if your order is expensive. Just though I'd let you know. If it is cheaper on other sites (usually Neweeg is the lowest or tied with lowest) you can calculate how much sales tax you would be paying on another site to see if a cheaper price on another site would still be cheaper than Newegg's base price without tax.

Additionally, I would recommend getting the Z97 version of the Hero (VII?) as it's not much more expensive, but I guess you already own the Z87 so oh well.

Good luck.

Looks solid to me. Can't fault it unless you want an IPS monitor but if you want the crazy refresh rates of that BenQ it would appear that you don't.

And you probably won't notice a different in faster RAM later on BTW. There's only real benefit in faster RAM if you're running an APU only (no GPU) build. Since you have a GPU you'll have no worries.

That's about it.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

you may need to do a BIOS Update out of the box, requiring you to have an older CPU that is compatible with this board,

Too much horror stories running from newegg lol. I'm trying to stay away from this site.

And for cooling I have two 140mm fan in intake at front, three in exhaust at top with a rad though. If I had one 120mm at back and one 140mm in front, will I have a positive pressure?

What 140mm do you recommend me?

Do you  have another CPU in that board so you can do a BIOS update before installing a Haswell Refresh CPU? Otherwise, you may have to go with an i5-4670k.

Nope. Mobo is supposed to be uptated anyway. But if it isn't what will happen? Can it damage the CPU?

I don't think it would POST with a Haswell Refresh CPU if the board has an older BIOS not supporting Haswell Refresh CPUs on it. What's the BIOS version on your board?

I'm not sure. I've bought the board on ebay. Anyway you can just update the bios nah?
