Serial ATA is old technology (It came out in 2003, almost 12 years ago!) SATA III came out in 2009, with 600MB/s. This is way too slow for today's SSDs. The problem with PCI-e is that there can only be so many slots on a single motherboard. Does anyone have a rough idea when a new standard will be available or what the standard might be?
