this isnt urgent.

yes, i still use vga because i have an old monitor. but why doesn't it work with my motherboard?

if i plug it into my 260x it works like a charm, but if i plug it into my mobo,no signal!

why is it there?

because your using a dedicated video card to show the display out. the onboard VGA header is for people that aren't running a video card.

You're probably going to need something like DVI to VGA, which really is not that expensive.

BUT!

Only if that is a DVI port which can use analog signal too.

(I'm not sure which can and which can't). Otherwise you're going to do some DisplayPort to VGA stuff
