I'm nervous about the Z97 though because it's that much cheaper and the reviews on parts picker (admittedly only 2 reviews) were lower. Anyone have specific experience with the Z97 I linked above?

you are comparing an asus h board to asrock z board, they are at completely different ends of the scale in terms of quality. what cpu will you be using?

Does not realy matter much which board you pick with this combo.

Simply the Z97 pro 3 does not offer any more feutures then the H97.

Z97 only offers full overclock support, But i5-4430 is locked so yeah, it does not make sense for that matter.

 

H97 boards dont support Sli, But cheap lowend Z series boards dont support it either.

So yeah. :)
