Multi-monitor lagging problems

Godlygamer23

I have currently two displays connected to my rig. One is a TV connected using HDMI and the other is an IPS panel connected using DVI. However, whenever I play a video, movie, etc on my TV and re-focus my main display, my main display seems to lag a bit. Animations are slower, cursor movement lags, etc. Anyone have a similar problem? In addition, is it even a problem or just a normal occurrence? Thanks for any valid input.

Is the HDMI cable to the TV plugged into the primary input??

Does it say on the connection : HDMI (DVI)?

If not, the tv will do some internal processing of the image which will result in input lag.

My primary display lags. It only has one HDMI input. The other is VGA.

For someone who is quick to call upon one who double-posts, you are awfully acceptant of your own double posts

Do they have the same refresh rates?

It's not a race to the bottom.
