Hi everyone,

I have an extra Adata SX900 120Gb SSD. I want to know what you guys think about these two options.

1) Put it in RAID 0 with my Samsung 840 EVO 120Gb SSD.

I don't know what kind of performance I will get from putting these two together, any enlightenment would be great.

Samsung specs: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7173/samsung-ssd-840-evo-review-120gb-250gb-500gb-750gb-1tb-models-tested

2) Clone my new laptop hard drive (750 Gb HDD) and replace it.

My laptop isn't really bothering me that much, but it is new and I know the SSD will stay fast for longer.

Any thoughts and opinions would be great.

Thanks

Don't do raid, the small speed boost is barely noticeable, and will definitely not be worth the issues that come with raid.

You will wreck your EVO if you try that.

As someone with 6 raid 0 SSDs I dont think you should do it.

Why should someone not use a raid 0 set up? I wouldn't recommend it with the drives the OP is using but with something more reliable like Intel SSD's.

Reliability isn't the main issue. Also if you're using Intel's built in raid your boot times will actually be slower which is the opposite of what everyone thinks. It's just a pain to deal with.
