Should I buy a Nexus 5?

I want to replace my current phone (HTC One X) for another one.

 

But I am not sure which phone to pick.

 

The Nexus 5 seems to be a solid phone, but I read bad comment about the battery life, don't know if it is really that bad.

 

Another option in my opinion is the HTC One M7, but this is already an older phone, so mayby not the best choice.

 

Any advice for me, or other options?

Battery life is okay imo. It got much better after android 5.0

Its 21:43 and still have 45% after a day

Nexus 5 is a wonderful phone. As a One X user, get it if you want something that will actually last.

Nexus 5 is the best phone you can get at that price, as long as your getting it unlocked.

It's a good screen by all means, just not the best like I said. Contrast is a bit lacking in my opinion.

I just upgraded from iPhone 5 to Nexus 5.  The Nexus 5 is way better in so many ways!  For starters, the battery life is excellent.  For example, I charged it Sunday night, used it all day Monday, forgot to plug it in Monday night (left it out in the cold in my car) and used it all day Tuesday (I was using it sparingly Tuesday to conserve power) and made it home at 5pm with 8% battery to spare!  With my iphone 5, I can barely make it through a 9 hour day, if I conserve power.

 

The screen is beautiful and a really nice size (easily fits in most pockets).  it's also faster than my iPhone 5 for general use.  Yes, there may be better phones out there that cost a lot more, but the Nexus 5 is a great value.

 

Go buy one!

i suggest that if you are buying a off contract phone, then a one plus one is the best bet

 

if not then a nexus 5 is a good option, also look at the moto x

Obviously, as you said, it's opinion, but I'd take the Nexus 5 (and its screen) over most other devices'. Most other competitors use a similar screen or AMOLED, and every AMOLED screen I've used (mostly from Samsung) thus far has been oversaturated to hell.

 

That said, the Nexus 5 is an excellent device at its price point. Wouldn't hurt to look at the OnePlusOne and Moto X (Gen2).

value wise I would get LG G3 at the moment, atleast in my country it's really fkin cheap.

Nexus is more expensive here cuz google does not approve us as a country.

i suppose, but really what is the point of higher end phones, the phones that are $300-$500, like the oneplus one, and moto x, are really the best value, as do you need to run crisis 3  on your phone

Motorola and Oneplus also do not acknowledge that we exist. New moto X costs like note 4 and oneplus is only possible to get from people and it costs more than g3.

Yes, true. But the display (5.5 inch) is to big for me.

 

The phone is tightly wrapped however, so the actual phone isn't that big.

I just got a OPO which has a 5.5" screen too, and when I look at my old phone with its 4.5" screen I ask myself what I was ever doing with that tiny thing... You adapt really fast.

Zero complaints about nexus 5 I'm typing this on. Wouldn't want anything but the new moto X as a replacement. Love stock Android and the 5.0 update and support is wonderful. Great for the money, battery life isn't the best but it's sufficient for one day's use.
