To connect or not connect, that is the question

So i just got a Netgear R6250 EMR from my upcoming ISP, but i already own a linksys ea6700 which I bought myself.

 

The problem is i need to use the Netgear because net is running through TV's copper wires.

 

Now to my question:

 

Can i simply use the netgear ?

Or

Can it pay to connect the Linksys to the nengear + disable all thing except one Lan-port

 

Hope someone can see what i mean.
