hey guys, for my new build im planning on getting a fx-8350 but im not sure if i have to get an aftermarket cooler for it because it doesnt fit in my budget.

i know an aftermarket is always better than stock but will stock be sufficient when gaming? im not planning on overclocking or anything.

Stock will run games just fine, although the cooler can be quite loud.

But sure, you can start out like that and maybe add ona a cooler later if you want so more juice/quieter operation.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Stock cooler is fine if your not overclocking or anything like that.

As mentioned above the stock cooler can be loud. Even a cheap after market cooler will lower your temp and will be quiet in most cases.

Interesting thread about this OP on LTT ....

Also if you can seriously look at overclocking the cpu as it isn't hard when you follow this guide and you could go with an AMD FX 8320 which should be cheaper and then get a Hyper 212 Evo and go to town ...

The stock cooler will do fine. You can always add an aftermarket one later if you want to.

In gaming, you will much better off going with a locked i5. Less expensive also.

No worries, stock cooler sounds like the plan.
