Linus action figure?

So there's this free autodesk app - http://www.123dapp.com/ - called 123d catch. It allows users to create 3D models from a couple(quite a lot actually) of pictures.It's pretty neat.I tried it myself and it works.

 

 

There's more details on how the pictures need to be taken and how many they should be on the website, I won't bother explaining it here.It's not that complicated.Just around 20 shots from the side and another 20 looking down on the subject (all kind of evenly apart).

Quite some time ago I posted something about this and someone(forgot who) said : "Oh, I want a Linus action figure!" . Just remembered today and I thought why not post about it.

 

Of course, after the 3D model is done, it needs to be 3D printed. That could be a problem, but hey, I'm sure the LTT crew knows someone who owns a 3D printer.And it would also require Linus to get someone to take lots of pictures of him as well.

 

So, what do you guys think?

I definately think I could make room for a linus action figure on my desk. I have access to 3D printing equipment if anyone would like to be part of this, I personally don't have time to make the model in 3DS Max or any other program for that matter due to work and school. But if someone were to make a model of it and send it to me I would be sure to send you one lol, maybe we can have linus do an unboxing of a figure of himself.

As someone who lives close to Linus.

 

Why would I want a action figure of him when I can just go meet him?

To be fair a Linus action figure would be hilarious to sell in the LTT shop. Plus one of those would be great in the background of the WAN show.

yes, in the shop. but people just making them? no...

well a good sculptor can make a pretty good lookalike model from pictured and videos of linus ;)

hmm, i know people who could do it in a weeks worth of free time. but they dont really know who linus is
