What gtx 780 brand do you recommend for overclocking?

Mattriz

only have a problem there if you have a motherboard that doesnt space well for your 16x

no, look at the shape of the cooler, how are you going to even put an SLI bridge? O.o

just be careful with the new design

should you want to SLI, you'd have a problem there....

why would you have a problem with that?

the cooler blocks where you'd put the SLI bridge, you have to cut part of the cooler

*edit*

at least to my understanding, I've seen a thread in LTT before talking about the same issue

that's the only issue really, I like the new direct CU cooler look and I own a direct CU II 680 - but this new design bothers me just for this specific reason :(

the gigabyte windforce is absolutely crazy when it comes to its temps allowing it to surpass the titan in benchmarks

as of right now all the cards about the same , just some with custom coolers but the stock one works just as good.

if u wait ,the one the best card out will be galaxy  780 HOF  it just set world rec. and also galaxy is hand picking them.
also  a + is the custom white pcb so sweet.

but if u want to buy now just get a ref. card u will be happy i have 2 water cooler and could not ask for more. o yah the if u are thining about water cooling ref. cards be your best bet.

I would recomend the ASUS card because i have had only good expieriences with ASUS products. I have owned a GIGABYTE motherbaord and a graphics card and i was not impressed. The motherboard whined and the Graphics card was not as cool&quiet as advertised. ASUS is generally a bit more expensive tough.

How are you going to watercool a custom PCB? All waterblocks are made for the reference PCB and won't fit the custom ones.

It does look different, but not much for a water block.

If only nvidia would of let people build non reference coolers for the Titan and let us OC the crap outta it, thing wud be a monster I bet

Check out the Gigabyte video from computex. Linus showed a Titan that sipped with a spare windforce cooler so you could change it yourself. It's a good way around nvidia's policy

They usually make waterblocks for Direct CUII cooled cards

Windforce 3 directs the air out of the card from the sides so if your case has bad airflow inside of case will get hotter.

EK announced that they're working on full cover water blocks for the DirectCU II. Definitely go with that for overclocking.
