Should I trade my 7770 for a Sparkle 560 ti? Would I be gaining or losing performance or is it about even?

I'd say that you would be losing performance.

Dont guess LOL. The 7770 is about half the performance of the 560ti. 7770 is pretty well no good anymore now in days but the 560ti can still hobble along. And to the other guy don't use biased boss.

The 7770 is just fine.  I mean, you won't be running the latest games at great settings, but it's still a fairly decent card.

Half the performance? Nah. Maybe if you look at the card specifications alone but i've tested these cards and the 560 Ti is not twice as fast but it is definitely better so i would personally do the trade.

Ya half might be cutting it a little short but I will say that the 560ti is about 40% faster overall in every game. Anyway you slice it I don't know why anyone would trade a perfectly good 560ti for a 7770 because the 560ti is tangible a better card in any game.

i have a 7770 here, a friend of me has a 560ti, and my 7770 gets destroyed... The 560ti is a lot better than the 7770 i have. But don't forget! The 560ti is more power hungry. The 7770 can work with almost every cheapo psu, not the case with the 560ti! You will need a good 500w psu or more (or 430w, at least that what my friend has, it's a corsair one)

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

It would be going in the build that's in my signature.

The 7770 is newer, uses less power, runs cooler, probably still has warranty left and it's not a Sparkle. Oh and fanboyism. Those are the only reasons i can think of lol.

The 7770 is an old slug of a GPU the 560ti not so much. Why pick a GPU that offers much lower framerates in all games. Who cares if a GPU is newer if it gets the smack down laid down on it LOL. With the logic or lack of that you are trying to use then the 750ti is better cause it's newer than a 760 so choose 750ti cause it's newer and offers much less performance LOL. 560ti is two performance tiers up from 7770 http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

You eluded to saying that the HD 7770 "is newer, uses less power, runs cooler" which are terrible and redundant reasons to choose a much lesser performing GPU why because higher performing GPUs tend to consume more power and output more heat. Then you proceeded to call me a fanboy because I claimed that the 560ti is faster. WTF LOL.

The real question is why anyone would want to do such a trade, you sure the card is in working condition and doesn't have any problems? The 560 Ti is a decent amount faster:

Yeah, it's a good friends GPU, it's working right now, he's out buying food for another LAN tonight, the reason he wants the 7770 is to CF it with one he already has, and he's a huge AMD fan.

It will be your win and his loss once he finds out how flipping terrible the CFX scaling is on the HD 7770s and thats even if and when it actually works LOL.

Dear god.... I was not trying to justify trading a 560 ti for a 7770. I was listing any reasons someone might consider doing that trade. Also i didn't even call you a fanboy, I already said the 560 ti was faster in my original post. I listed "fanboyism" as another reason why someone might consider the trade (meaning they like AMD more).

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you just completely misunderstood what i said/meant but holy shit, Settle down.

OK we both speculated to much LOL. The actual reason is cause the guy want's the 7770 so he can CFX it with one he already has. It;s still a bad trade for that guy cause the HD 7770 CFX scaling is terrible if it even works which most of the time it will not work very well and the single 560ti will offer better frame rates over time ... much more stable and smooth.

Yea i agree. This makes me sound like a fanboy of AMD now saying this but his best bet would probably be to sell the 560 Ti since they still hold decent value and pickup a R9 270 since they sell for dirt cheap. There's someone selling one for $80 here on the LTT Classifieds. But yea as for the OP with the 7770 i would definitely make the trade for the 560 Ti.

I would not pay more than $50 for a used 560ti. You can get a refurbished one from Newegg for $90 bucks and if it fail return it no problems.
