Have you tried running it in compatability mode?

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

there you will find the starwars battlefront file, right click, 2nd tab on the left is compatibility.

Where are your games stored? Also, I've played that game on my W7 computer, and it runs fine.

As zip said, you'll need to go where ever your games are stored, right click on the exe file for the appropriate game, click on properties, and click the compatibility tab.

Is your friend's sound configured properly in general?
