Whenever I record gameplay at 1080p 60fps, the framerate and resolution in the recording is terrible

As the title says, all of my recordings, no matter the game or recording software, look crappy when playing them back.

My framerate in-game while i'm recording is fine, still 120+ in CS:GO etc. I mainly use MSI Afterburner to record.

Here are my MSI Afterburner video settings:

Example of a video recorded at these settings and uploaded to YouTube:

The resolution also looks shitty in the video but that could just be youtube's compression.

This is what the properties of the file look like. As you can see, the framerate says 60fps:

I have tried using OBS as well without result. I have drawn the conclusion that it has to be something going wrong when the video is encoded, since my framerate is fine ingame.

I would say use OBS first and see what happens. I remember recording with Afterburner and it was terrible.

Try using quick sync video with OBS.

That would be even worse... QuickSync recording is terrible.

Change video format to MJPG compression. Let me know if this changes anything c:

Additionally you can try ticking the box 'Enable MJPG decoder'

It worked! Thanks!

The only problem now is that it still take 200 minutes to upload a 7.53GB 2-minute video (1080p60fps) to youtube. Could this be because the format that the file is saving as is not supported and YouTube has to change it? I remember uploading a 3-minute video at 1080p 30fps in the past that only took about 15 minutes to upload. Surely the difference between 30 and 60fps isn't that huge?

I use something called loilo game capture. http://loilo.tv/us/product/game_recorder It seems to work pretty well for being free. Might be worth trying out, If other things don't work.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

Ok, I think I found what the problem was. It seems that MSI Afterburner was going full retard and the file sizes were way too huge. With MSI afterburner, a 2-minute video at 1080p60fps took up 7.8GB of space. With OBS, a 2-minute video at 1080p 60fps took up 25MB. Thank you everyone for all the help, and I guess i'll be using OBS for recording from now on. :)
