Over clocking 980

Hey guys so Im looking to over clock my gpu. I have Asus gpu tweak on my pc and it has a preset gaming profile. Is it safe to select this, or should I just slowly increase the clocks while benchmarking?

Yeah it should be 100% stable with the preset profiles. You can always overclock it manually aboe that to get much more performance.

The gaming preset sets gpu boast clock to 1299 (+20) from factory clock and the memory to 7050(+40) and 110 power target. Should I raise any values higher, does anyone know of any good OC guides.

with GPU tweak, it is safe to max out all sliders.
That does not assure stability, but make sure you uncheck the option to OC on startup, incase you make it unstable.

Okay guys spent a bit of time over clocking my 980 got may boast to 1450 and memory to 7950 at 120power limit. First time doing this so just want to validate that sounds OK. Max temp has been 72c. Ran firestrike all OK. Have been running heaven for an hours or so. Should I do anything else to make sure it's stable.

Run aida64 test and make sure you uncheck CPU/RAM and only check the GPU. Run for an hour or two, if stable, you are good.
