Best budget graphics card?

Hey, I am going to build a gaming PC rig for Christmas and I want to play games at close as possible to maxed out setting at about 40 - 60 fps. Any recomedations would be greatly appreciated, my budget is £150, thanks.

yes for a while.

i used the 7950 (280) for some time, and its ballin' for 1080p. push the clocks up and you're just about matching a gtx680 (but with more VRam).
