Then again, i can get a GTX 770 or even a R9-290 with the X4-860k if i buy a used GPU.

Also, take a gander at that above question, please.

The 290 is better performance wise than the 770. If you can get one of these GPUs with the x4-860 you will have a good bang for the buck system. And about your question from earlier, I didn't see it till now, you have to quote me or I will not get a notification(I cant really see if you asked me something). You are right I checked and the x4-860 is a newer CPU than the FX ones. It will be much better than the pentium and cheaper than the i5. So you are kinda getting the best of both. But keep in mind that the intel CPU has a better single core performance than the AMD one. The difference mostly shows in CPU intensive games (Metro:Last light, Arma 3, DayZ, and so on).

Well the post directly above it i quoted you in so i thought you'd see both when you checked the thread.

The case is something that is a pain to change later because you have to take apart every piece of the computer and re-assemble. I'd recommend getting a good one and downgrading other parts for now

Any suggestions? Isn't the Core 1000 or its successor Core 1100 good enough?

Im not saying its bad, I'm saying get the one you want now don't skimp out

I quite like the Core 1000, but now that i look at it, the Fractal Define Mini seems really good as well, on top of having a billion things just to keep it quiet.

It's a bit more expensive, but nothing too much. 2.5 times as much as the Core 1000 but the C1000 is cheapo as hell anyway.
