Get the 4460 if you can, Better case, Not bad apart from that bad

4460 has some black magic with the motherboard, so i'm not sure if the h97m can handle it. Some deal with refreshes or something. Other than that, they're basically the same price, the 4440 and the 4460.

What's wrong with the case? It has everything i need, looks good, and it's cheapo. Like half the price of the Fractal Core 1100.

I made a new thread because the last one i made started as a CPU discussion then to build suggestions then PSU discussion, etc. It just veered offtopic.

And i'll keep it in english just for the sake of everyone else here.

never tried futura-it.hr, i'll check it out.

As far as I can tell, nabava.net pulls data from futura-it.hr too.

On another note, is it worth it to buy GPUs used?

I suggest going with an AMD CPU :D

Something like 860k with a 280(x) :D

Gonna go try nabava.net to make you something good :D

Never bought it used, but if they have the original warranty, then why not O.o You're still covered :D

I h ave a question: What is this PC used for ? All in all the build is good I just want to ask if you are playing games with it or using it for daily tasks? If you are going to game on it get a better GPU. Use the same Motherboard but get a pentium g3258 with a GTX 760 or r9 270/x. If they can fit in you budget.

I've heard a LOT of mixed feelings on AMD chips so i'm on the fence here.

280x is way too much, i feel. the price will skyrocket.

Although, there are used ones

warranty till 11/2015

I h ave a question: What is this PC used for ?

The edit button is bust so i'll do it like this.

It'll be a general use PC, but the heaviest load will definitely be gaming. I don't think programming can classify as a heavy load, neither can light photoshop/sony vegas work i occasionally do.

Then go wit the i5 and if you want you can add a better gpu down the road

If he will use the PC for gaming. The difference will be minimal between the two CPUs.

So what are the drawbacks? What does the Pentium suck at compared to the i5?

can the X4-860k compare to the i5 4440?

I remembered another CPU specific load i use sometimes: SVP with MPC-HC - it taxes the CPU quite a bit.

Well in benchmarks probably but in day to day use it will have not that much of a difference, the pentium will suck if you are multitasking a lot.

Well, what do you mean by multitasking: I tend to watch a youtube vid on the sidemonitor while playing some games that i don't need to pay much attention to, audio-wise, like Minecraft, LoL, et cetera, and do need to have several things open while coding.

I don't do any serious multitasking like rendering a vid while calculating PI, while playing farcry3 all while doing pushups, or something ridiculous like that. Just day-to-day multitasking anyone would do with 2 monitors (I have one already)

Even if you have a browser or some type of other demanding program running you will notice lower performance while gaming. If you are running just the game and not really doing anything else in the background than there will be no difference between the i5 an pentium. But since you have a second monitor (as do I) you probably multitask (Probably running a browser while gaming or as you said programming). So the i5 will be a better choice.

It is a great value for the money. But I would go intel nowadays AMD has not done much to refresh there CPUs and the architecture of those chips is old (2 years old).

Still, it's less than half the price of the intel chip, so i'm kinda torn.

I can get the i5-4440 with a used 280x, but is it worth buying used goods at all, when it comes to GPUs?

Wait, isn't the x4 860k based on the Steamroller architecture released early this year, rather than the Piledriver from 2012?

It is, if the part is in warranty.

Then again, i can get a GTX 770 or even a R9-290 with the X4-860k if i buy a used GPU.

Also, take a gander at that above question, please.
