3 Monitor Graphics Card Suggestions

Hey forum,

My dad recently upgraded to triple 1080p monitors for my machine because he uses it for productivity quite often new for work and stuff. And gaming on triple monitors is awesome! At absolute minimum settings because my gtx 760 can't handle it, and even at minimum settings i am getting less than 40 fps and I get terrible lag spikes. I was wondering what graphics card you would suggest for my machine that would let me play at 50-60fps at at least medium settings on this rig. In two years I am going to college and probably won't bring the three monitors and get one 27'' 1440p monitor (depending on dorm size), hopefully by then a 144hz IPS if the technology moves fast enough. So something that is suitable for that as well. I haven't really seen any posts about 3 monitor setups since the gtx 900 release date so that is why I am asking now.

PS I would prefer it to be a Nvidia card

Specs:

i5 3350P (planning on switching it for a 4770 in the other machine)

16GB RAM Corsair XMS3

Gigabyte GTX 760

750 watt Power Supply Corsair CX750

Corsair Carbide 330R

Asus P877-V LK Z77 motherboard

R9 290. Or two. At thw current price they offer better value than a 970, even if they draw more power and heat up more.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I have a single GTX 770 2GB on 3 monitors, and it plays Euro Truck Sim 2 at 60 fps max settings, same for Civ V. It all depends on what games you are playing, but I would go for a 970 today for most games or a 980 for games like BF4 or GTA V

290's are a better value if the psu is big enough.  750w is recommended for just one 290, and probably isn't really enough for 2 of them.  I think that sli 970's are the best choice in this situation.

a single 970 will run modern games at medium to high settings, and two 970's should max out most games at 5760x1080.

XEON E3 1231v3 | GA-Z97MX GAMING 5 | XFX R9 290 | 16GB RAM | CRUCIAL MX100 256GB | WD BLUE 1TB | EVGA SUPERNOVA 850W | CORSAIR 350D
