Hey guys is there a detailed explenation of how to overclock a i7 2700k

with a asus p8z77-v deluxe I just got a decent cooler so I wana see hkw far I can push this cpu

The CPU doesnt matter much, every CPU will overclock different amounts anyway

up dat multiplier

set vcore voltage to 1.3

up cpu multiplier until PC doesn't boot.

lower multipler till boot

test to see if stable

>if not stable lower multiplier and test; repeat

set vcore voltage back to auto

 

done.

Run some stress tests. Like Prime95, Aida64, OCCT etc. Oh, and here's guide forsocket 1155 overclocking (Gigabyte but settings are same).
