It will work, but if primarily for gaming - you can do better.

Get a 4690K, GTX 980, 1600Mhz ram and a 550w power supply.

EDIT: You're also missing a cpu cooler. If you don't plan on overclocking, don't get a K series cpu and instead of Z97, get H97.

Why should I downgrade to a 4960K a 1600Mhz ram?

For gaming, it's not a downgrade at all. A 4790k and 2400mhz ram is simply unnecessary for gaming.

Notice the emphasis on gaming here. If you work heavily with threaded programs, then a 4790K will pull ahead.

If you are getting the H440 case then I would recommend you get a reference blower card as the h440 doesn't provide great airflow.  I might also go with a corsair CX750m PSU and a Corsair H80i over the stock cooler and the rose will PSU

Ok Thank you, that makes sense, Can I upgrade the gpu to a 980 or will the cpu bottleneck this?

You can SLI that 980 and still be fine.

The 980's TDP is only 145w, so that's why I recommended a lower wattage power supply. You'll still have plenty of headroom too.

I just found the AMD FX-8350. Will That also work, of course I have to change the motherboard

The i5 will be a better alternative though.

The Intel core i7 is going to be much better

The i5 will do fine for OP.
