$350 AUD build gaming

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Well I have a asus GeForce gt8600 it was fine just decided to pull it out of my bros system as we were given a better card.

Could you replace that apu with somthing else so it fits in budget.

Here you go: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/15bxA

What I ended up doing was replacing the 4 core 5600k with the G2120. In more single threaded applications, this should actually do better than the 5600k but it would fall behind in more threaded cpu intensive games.

The G2120 is still a great cpu and it should be fine with up to a 7790/7850 without too harsh of a bottleneck. I would pair it with a 7770 in the future for a great bang for the buck gaming solution.

I am currently trying to build a gaming system for a friend and I need to stick to a budget of $350 austrailan dollors. (If this isn't posible the could you do the cheapest build possible for little money as he might get more of a budget in future)

I have so far discovered that amds apu is going to be the only option.

But as I have been a intel user all my live I am new to the amd side.

Please note if possible could you pick parts from my local retailer msy.com.au.

I hope this isn't asking too much any questions then feel free to ask.

I'm not sure if you'd get a PSU/case

Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 M-ATX @ $72

CPU: AMD A8 6600K 4-Core Processor @ $135

Memory: Kingston HyperX Predator KHX21C11T2K2/8X @ $105

but this is $312 total

and yea, this is AUD

hope that helps! :)

Check out the build: Used to be Obot, now Lilith

AMD is pretty much the only option. With an Intel build you'd blow your entire budget on just the CPU nearly.

Also, I apologise on behalf of MSY to anyone who uses their shitty site.

their site is really hard to navigate, I used the price from pccasegear.com instead

For 350, buy something from the used market.

indeed, that would be the best choice

and upgrade that to a10

a10 would be around $160, with that budget you'd break the bank sadly.

all of these aren't counted with the shipping too so xD

It will definetly be a struggle at that price I am afraid. I could not find you a decent full config for that price.

What games did you want to play, at what resolution?

My advice is to save more money and buy a system you will love.

Case Bitfenix Shinobi | CPU - i5 3570K @ 4.2Ghz | Motherboard -  Asus P8Z77 | GPU - 7870 | PSU - Corsair CXM 600w |
Harddrive - Seagate Barracuda 1Tb x 2 | SSD - Samsung 840 256Gb | Cooling - Custom 2x Dual 120mm Radiator, Watercooling Loop |

No shipping from MSY (I know you got your prices elsewhere) as it's a brick and mortar store.

all the items i listed have the same price, with the exception of kingston RAM, they don't list that on msy

yea, was never aware of msy during my visit in australia and i've been here for almost a year now xD

Well ATM it just has to replace his dying laptop.

This breaks the budget a bit but it's to allow for a gpu upgrade in the future without getting a new psu.
