Alienware's Graphics Amplifier

:D While browsing through the internet. I stumbled onto this. An ALIENWARE GRAPHICS AMPLIFER, for their laptops, of course.

Don't really know what topic this goes under. But any relevant info or experience on this product should help. Was wondering if external graphics extensions for laptops actually work. It would really be interesting to have a review on this or similar products. Here's the link :

And if this tech really works. would plan on getting one that's non-Alienware associated in the near future. Like. If its good. Why not?

Repost, but too bad it's compatible with AW laptops only...

They do work, but you do need a thunderbolt capable laptop i believe which is not all that common. But seriously "Graphics amplifier"? That name just sounds bad haha

Actually it's their own proprietary connector, in which the Alienware 13 is the only compatible model.

 

Other companies have Thunderbolt models, which the connector has been commonplace on Macs for a few years and Ultrabooks/High-end Tablets/Convertibles/Gaming Laptops are catching on as well.

makes sense, it is alienware after all.
