Hello

Hello , i am the minibeast and i would like to ask the linus tech tips forums a question :

I am at the end of my first build , and i cant decide on my DDR3 ram cards . I have 4 DDR3 slots that i can fill in to my motherboard, and the DDR3 max capacity is 32 GB . The price limit is 60 e .

The Corsair XMS3 PC3-12800 4GB KIT (2x2GB) DDR3, CL 9-9-9-24 ( 11 of them left , info in 11.11.14 . this information might change on there site )  and the Corsair 4GB (2X2GB) DDR3 1333MHz kit XMS3 DHX ( 6 of them left in there storage house , info in 11.11.14 and was planning on buying 2 kits) are  on  are on clearance im my local hardware retailer. Note : i live in finland .

so the bullet point of my question is : Should i buy 2X2 GB Ram DDR3 sticks with higher Mhz

 leaving 2 slots empty or

buy 2 kits with 2X2 GB Ram with more Memory but with a slower Mhz .

Thank you

Bullet point : cant decide on a DDR3 ram kit , which one should i choose .

listed in the poll .

I don't really get the question.. Are you just asking whether to get 4GB or 8GB ram?

basically , i cant decide on witch ram should i take .

I don't see the difference. Can you post the links to the kits you're referring to?

I'd also suggest not centering your text like that--it makes it more difficult to read.

pick wichever you want they perform the same so go for the cheapest ones and i would suggest a single 4GB stick as this will cost less (most likely) and will allow you to upgrade to 8GB when you get more funds (i'm assuming you can't afford a 2x4gb kit from the get go...otherwise do that)

@OP, as others have said, the cheapest the memory, the better - as long as it's from known brands. If you can't afford 2x4GB kits, get only one 4GB module now and, when you can, get a second one. However, I really think you should try to squeeze a 2x4GB kit into your build, it's not that more expensive to be honest (I used german pcpartpicker, it's the closest country to Finland).
