The New Droid Turbo. Yay? Nay? Review?

d3sl91

I am up for an upgrade at the end of this month. I am currently stuck between getting the Moto X Gen2, or the Droid Turbo.

I currently have the Moto X 1st gen, and enjoy it - but the 16GB is not enough, and the screen has degraded over the time (Weird screen burn...). Plus the camera is horrible (but that's what my DSLR is for...).

The size is about right, the specs are fine, and the design doesn't bother me. Pros and cons? Thoughts?

Has @LinusTech said when the review is coming?

Yes, Linus said the review is coming. I would wait for that before you make your final decision.

The only reason I don't buy that phone is because it has no expandable storage. Other then that I find it to be almost perfect for my needs.

Yeah it's quite nice, but i'd prefer it it had bigger display with software keys. Still a dang nice phone, too bad it's a Verizon exclusive, absolutely nothing will convince me to move with that carrier.

Yeah, forget verizon... I'm just stuck with them anyway (this will renew a line that is transferring to individual ownership, and transfer to my line which only has a year left).

And company pays for the service.

It's a pretty good phone. To be honest I'd go over to YouTube and check out some reviews from people that review phones for a living. Even though Linus does great reviews on PC hardware, his phone reviews aren't as in depth.

You're getting it on contract, yeah? If so I'd probably go with the Droid. It has a much larger battery, and while it doesn't reign as the battery life king, it definitely does well.

Plus you can get the 64gb version. It's basically identical to the Moto X, other than the customization you can do.

Only real downside I see to it is the capacitive buttons, and the camera isn't as good as the one on the Moto X.

There's an international version. It's released in Mexico so far, likely to expand. Though likely not in the US.

Surely 64gb would be enough for you?
