Woah...

Mush Brain

Just gone from 75c idle, to 48c idle.

From 97c load (shutdown at 100c, and often hit 100c) to 81c under load (CSGO, heavily CPU bound and stresses my laptop massively).

All thanks to AC MX-2 Thermal Paste :D

Nope, there is only 1 way the laptop cooler can actually sit, even how much pressure, the screws needed strength to remove so not the issue here, it must just be the factory crap paste they apply.

There is still possibility that originaly there was big air buble somewhere. Though that is nice temp difference. Good for you! ;)

How do people get their laptops to these temperatures? My laptop never goes above 60.

Mine hits 100c but mine is a 4core APU

It can be the mount or how it spreads under pressurePosted Image

I know the picture isn't the best but that was stock stuff on a "good" mount.

The actual CPU/GPU cooler combo is impossible to fit with any more pressure or in any other way, it just seems that the paste was terrible from factory.

This cooler cools a Core 2 Duo and 4570m.
