I am considering purchasing a Radeon R9 290 the Asus Version. I am wondering if a 600 watt PSU 80+ bronze will work. Also if the card is better than the GTX 770. Right now the Asus card is a couple bucks cheaper than the GTX 770 and was wondering how much of a gaming performance difference there was. Thanks in advanced.

Would appreciate links to graphs if possible. :)

UPDATE: Current plan for my first gaming computer

600w is plenty, it is better than a 770 by about 20%

I'll just leave this here.

Vapor-X > Powercolor PCS+ > Tri-X > Windforce > TwinFrz > XFX > DirectCu

Hey its me lol

Yeah not all the AMD Asus DC2's are bad, but I have never tried a good one out on the 290's or 290x's.

Honestly, I think people just get lost in Asus's marketing, which is understandable, but as I have said before, I consider the Asus DC2 R9 290 to be a quieter version of the reference R9 290 with no improvements in thermals.
