ive got an i3, if i had a choice id get an i3.

 

pentium has bettwer bang for buck.

I would go i3, but the Pentium K is still solid.

core i3...easier, better performance no need to mess with overclocking the thing and will perform better in anything that use 2 CPU threads or more (AKA pretty much everything nowadays)

...and the new call of duty won't even launch on the pentium:

the i3 has slightly better performance than the G3258 when Overclocked, so it just depends on whether or not you want to spend the extra $50 to get a few more fps ;)
