Dropping frames =/= lower FPS in games FYI

You're right, dropping frames is worse.

If you remove the heat sinks on the Ram then you can get the other 4gb stick in (which I would recommend doing).

To answer your question, very few if any at all - maybe a maximum of 2 or something equally unnoticeable.

So unless i try to render stuff and play crysis 3 at the same time, i will be ok ?

Removing heatsink from those isn't going to do anything. They are already as low as they can be. Removing heatsink will make them few mm lower. I'm bit confused though. Your cooler (listed in sig) shouldn't have any problems because of height. Because or width, yes but in that case removing ram heatsink will again do nothing. It would be better to look for another cooler, one which allows ram sticks under it.

The cooler in his sig shouldn't affect his ram at all, I'm assuming thats not the cooler hes currently using.

Which makes his sig even funnier. Whining on people not using PPP links and not giving all right information himself.

RAM isn't going to reduce your average framerate in the same way a video card might. If you don't have enough RAM, your framerate may generally stay the same, but you may see longer load times and "hitching" in the game when your system needs to swap data to and from the page file more often.

Whether 4 GB is enough depends on the game. I think you're going to want a little more for Battlefield 4. The rest of the games you listed may be fine.

Could you move the fan in other side of heatsink instead? Also, my math says that ram should fit under fan. True that it can be bit annoying to put there but it should still fit.

exactly, if you run out of RAM the game will stutter and take small pauses rather than a constant decrease in performance and this is even more anoying and will render a game unplayable rather quickly...BF4 on highest settings will require you to have a little more than 4GB...arent there anyway you could orient the fans for the CPU cooler in order to free your ram slots? perhaps putting the fan in a pull configuration installing the fan on the other side of the cooler like this:

900x600px-LL-44c0730f_100_0594.jpeg

This should not affect your cooling performance at all.

If you have top exaust in your case you could even instal it the other way like so and exaust on top of the case, like so:

500x1000px-LL-6dc7fb21_885395_1015147533

hope this help...
