I just built my new computer, but I didn't buy an optical drive. I was ganna use a USB to download it to my computer. I bought this OEM disk from Amazon.

Should I just run the disk, and see if I can copy to the USB? I also tried copying the files to the USB from the disk, but that didn't work.

if I understand what you're asking correctly... you want to run a DVD without an optical drive?

that's simply not going to work.

you could check this link:

What to do is:

If the disc came with a product key (the disc would be useless if it didn't) then I suggest you take that key that you bought legitimately, download the Windows 7 USB tool (or just extract the .iso to your flash drive, easier IMO) and go to work using another PC.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
