I will be using a pair of 980's with a nice 1440p display.

 

PC purposes

 

Streaming.

Video editing/ conversion.

Emulation.

 

CPU choices

 

4790k 4 cores/8threads

5930k 6cores/12 threads

 

Only think making me decide between the two is cost, but if the 6 core is worth it, i sure as hell want it.

wait for ddr4 to come down 250-300£ is well to much for ram & then get the 5820, in January prices are going to tumble so not a long wait

x99 depending on you budget. I really like z97 though too. just depends how how much you are willing to spend. 

He already said it multiple times; £2800.

that is pretty much perfect. although. I don't know much about your psu compagnie. if you want, the EVGA Supernova G2 750W or 850W will be silent once you turn the passive cooling mode on.

You're getting two 980's for a 1440p display O.o? Hopefully it's the ROG swift at least.
