Bios freezes

Go to solution Solved by Astralify,

Clear the cmos and if you get in the bios, load optimized defaults. After that a bios update would be a good idea. :)

Hello good fold of the LTT community!

So i just put together my friends PC and it was fine going into the bios the first few times. When in and out a couple of times when it came to boot order and windows installer failing etc.. Now when I want to enter the bios it just freezes instantly and I cannot do anything. What could be the cause of this?

Do you have a flash drive you can use? Since the board has USB BIOS Flashback, we can try re-writing the BIOS to the chip.

Oooookay, clearing the CMOS did the trick which leads me to believe it does not like the RAM
