I think  2x 295x2

Well, 4-way SLI doesn't scale properly. You'd be throwing away money for either literally no performance increase or some minor performance regressions..

 

Realistically, either two 980s or a 295X2 is the best you should get..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems
