TV or GTX 970?

Personally, I would go with the TV - you already have a good enough graphics card!

I have no clue where to put this, could've been in a TV section and GPU section, so this will hopefully so for now.

 

I recently changed up my room to the point where it's basically perfection (the way my furniture is right now)

 

I now have a couch behind my desk chair, i can roll the chair away to see my PC setup.

 

Now, i have a 280x, which is an OK card i guess, but i would like a 970 when i have the money.

 

But, i would also love to have a big TV above my desk/monitors connected to me PC, allowing me to watch youtube video's and for example, netflix on that TV.

 

What should i choose? a TV or a 970?

 

I feel like i want both equally so asking for opinions here.

In your case I'd get neither of that. Like the 280x is a decent card and a TV?

Because one day you will need a new gpu and if you bougth the TV, then you won't have money for that anymore. You get the point?

Well if you get a GTX970 you can't enjoy its full potential. So go with a TV and use what you have until you upgrade. But a big monitor would be better than a TV because they support higher refresh rates, better pixel density, and some have g sync.

Go for a TV. Price drops will come eventually, and hell, new cards possibly.

Because one day you will need a new gpu and if you bougth the TV, then you won't have money for that anymore. You get the point?

This could be a good point, though i am pretty sure i can buy a TV as soon as i have money and have enough money for the 970 one year later, Since the prices should be lower by then, i should be fine.

Well if you get a GTX970 you can't enjoy its full potential. So go with a TV and use what you have until you upgrade. But a big monitor would be better than a TV because they support higher refresh rates, better pixel density, and some have g sync.

Since theres some distance between the couch and the wall, i don't think pixel density will be a problem, higher refresh rates wont make much sense since its mainly for MAX 60fps video playback. This one will not be for gaming.
