I need to transfer 600 DVD to a single units, it's just too unwieldy and holds up a whole closet space.

As I understand it, is WD Elements 3TB the best option here?

That's a lot of DVDs. If I may ask, what is contained on them, and/or can you afford to lose that data?

If it's personal or business related, then I would recommend getting two external drives so you can have multiple copies (and can ditch the DVDs). The elements drive will be fine for your needs.

Hi, @filipcro

What you have chosen is a really good option. The WD Elements is a reliable drive that comes with some useful tools. @wpirobotbuilder has a point. If you copy all your DVDs on the new drive you will have only one copy of them, which is not really recommended. This may be a temporary solution. I would recommend you to think about some backup solution in future: maybe another internal for storage, where you could put those DVDs and backing them up on the external. Data safety really should be a priority. We are talking about a lot of DVDs.

Hope this helps
