Mechanical Keyboard suggestions for programming/gaming?

Hey.

I'm looking to invest some money in a decent keyboard as the one I have right now is pretty basic and crap (Sumvision Spectrum or something, membrane type).

I do alot of programming (CS major), and gaming (fps like CS, some MoBA's etc). Now I know there probably isn't a good keyboard that's great for every type of game + typing, but I'm sure there are some around that could get the job done. I feel rather than spend another £20 on a decent keyboard as I hate this one so much, I'll just shell out some more on a good keyboard.

Budget is around £70.

Cheers for any suggestions

What is your preferred noise level? Switch type? I'm assuming you want a full sized.

Look at the Ducky or Corsair range they are pree good, blue switches are great for typing but are loud, brown are similar and are quiet

Browns do not feel like blues IMHO. They are too mooshy. The harder to come by clears feel much more similar IMHO. But for common switches you're right.

idk i was at AUS PAX over the weekend and tried out a heap of blues, reds and browns and you can really notice a difference between them all but i would have to say browns feel the most like blues out of the most common switches used

Not as close as clears is my point. Browns have a 45g actuation force while blues have a 55g actuation force. Clears have this 55g actuation force but without the click. Browns feel a bit mooshy to me compared to blues. They don't have the same feedback. Clears feel closer.

Yes, I agree. Just that clears feel a little closer.

Full sized? 10-Key? Noise Level?  I like Corsair (before new logo), Ducky and Cooler Master. I prefer brown or blue depending on noise level I need and what I am doing.

I don't care for noise, it doesn't bother me, and no one else can hear me type. Full sized, I'm not sure what switch type, I'm hoping thats where you guys can help me.

For £70 you might be kinda limited in full size boards, but you can get a Cooler Master TK which is a sort of hybrid between full and TKL it has the numpad on the left but when you turn off the numlock it turns into a TKL with a few extra buttons.
