ps/2 vs USB

Was just wondering, what are the benefits of each... Getting a new keyboard (CM quickfire rapid) and it comes with a USB : ps/2 adapter; which one is best... For gaming, typing...

 

I read somewhere that ps/2 enables you to power up your PC from it being shutdown?Which could be pretty useful for me. Whereas USB only allows that whilst in sleep/standby.

Performance wise there is no real difference. With PS/2 you might get NKRO but for any normal use 6KRO on USB is more than enough. If you need that PC power-on with the keyboard, then just plug it in the PS/2 and enabled the feature in BIOS.

1. Native PS/2 devices don't have ghosting (I think)

2. Frees up 1 USB port
