At first it wasn't flared as such, and I almost believed this for  a second.  Sure sound like something they'd do, just not admit to obviously. 

Reminded me of when I visited IGN a while ago

Does anyone actually buy a game based off of a game review website such as IGN?

I always watch a bunch of people play a game, then gather a consensus from multiple gamer's perspectives.

Does anyone actually buy a game based off of a game review website such as IGN?

I always watch a bunch of people play a game, then gather a consensus from multiple gamer's perspectives.

The same people that leave stickers on their hats get games based on these reviews.

I mean for COD it probably has little effect, as you either want it or you dont, but it's the principle of the " game journalism" thing.

And I will never forget what IGN did to alien isolation.

It did change the FPS genre forever, people stopped buying it.

I hope they do, to force them to make some change. The last COD I was excited for was COD MW2, and the last "revolutionary" COD was COD 4. Oh the hundreds of hours of multiplayer on that game.

Hell yah i still play cod2. It's finally dying. Mods kept it alive for so long. Activision killed that with mw2.

I hope not. IGNs reviews from the 90s and early 2000s are actually not half bad, but everything after that is BS.

 

I gave up hope on reviewers when any crysis game received 9.0+......Think they gave the first crysis game about a 9. A game where your north korean opponents spoke english with almost offensive korean accents.

Hahahahaha yeah, LAN parties were so awesome, everyone hated snipers, just snipe and watch your friends rage, wanting to beat you up. So much fun.

Now that I think about it, I haven't been or hosted a LAN party in ages, it's been 3-4 years for sure, why did that die out? Do you guys go to/have LAN parties these days or is it just that it died out in my case?

I've never really gone to the a whole lot in the first place, so I wouldn't know. I think it may just be you. Go set one up and tell your friends to join you.

Tried it once a few months ago and the answer I got was:" Why host it there, we can just play online together and Skype call!" They do have a point but it doesn't have that charm that a LAN party has!
